The Adria Section (before Croatian Section) is an affiliate member of the international association The Combustion Institute established on July 1, 1954 in the State of Delaware, USA. The members of the Section are academic or industrial researchers working in any branch of the combustion.
The main objectives of the Section are:
1. Support communication, exchange of ideas and cooperation between researchers interested in combustion science and technology
2. Promote and disseminate research on combustion in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and the region
3. Increase the connections with the other sections of the Combustion Institute
4. Contribute to the international influence of Section's researchers in combustion
